8. Mini – FAQs (English version)

1. Baron Castle
a. Follow Baigan into throne room, get Package from King.
b. Meet Kain afterward in the hall.
c. Go into west room, meet Rosa.
d. In next room, go north and talk to Cid.
e. Go up into castle tower to room.
f. Talk to Rosa again, then go to bed.
g. Meet with Kain in morning, and head northwest to Mist Cave.
2. Mist Cave
a. Go through cave to end, fight Mist Dragon.
b. Continue out to village of Mist.
3. Mist Village
a. Package is opened.
b. Fight summoner girl and Titan.
c. Take girl northeast to desert town Kaipo.
4. Kaipo Village
a. Rest at Inn with Rydia, fight some soldiers.
b. Visit house in northeast, talk to Rosa and others inside.
c. Talk to old woman in east area of Inn.
d. Leave town and go into north cave.
5. Water Cave
a. Talk to old man Tellah in your way.
b. Continue to save point, and rest.
c. Keep moving through the cave until you end up outside.
d. Rest, then enter north cave.
e. Go down waterfall, continue onward to the end.
f. Fight Octomamm.
g. Walk into waterfall to exit.
h. Walk north to the damaged castle.
6. Damcyam Castle
a. Go up to top floor, meet Edward.
b. Get Hovercraft, ride east across shallows to cave.
7. Antlion Cavern
a. Go through cave, fight Antlion, get Sandy Ruby.
b. Leave cave, head back across shallows.
c. Take far west shallows to the south, revisit Kaipo.
8. Kaipo Village - Back with Sand Ruby
a. Go to northeast house, talk to Rosa.
b. Leave Kaipo and go back north across shallows on Hovercraft.
c. Pass Damcyan to the east, continue past cave, go into mountains.
9. Mt.Hobs
a. Melt ice in the way with Rydia.
b. Go up the mountain, meet Yang.
c. Fight Mom Bomb.
d. Continue down other side of mountain.
e. Follow forest-ladden path to Fabul castle.
10. Fabul Castle
a. Go to throne room, agree to help King.
b. Fight some monsters.
c. See Kain/Golbez in crystal room.
d. Go to room south of throne room, go around center area, exit to south.
e. Go into east tower, talk to King on top floor.
f. Exit Fabul, board ship to Baron.
g. Go with Cecil to Mysidia.
11. Town of Mysidia
a. Talk to Elder in main building, meet Palom/Porom.
b. Leave Mysidia, head east to mountain.
12. Mt.Ordeals
a. Use Palom's Ice on fire wall in the way.
b. Continue onward, meet Tellah.
c. At summit, fight Milon.
d. Cross bridge, fight Milon Z.
e. Enter room at other side.
f. Go back down mountain, and return to Mysidia.
13. Back to Mysidia
a. Visit the Elder again.
b. Take Serpent Road in east building to Baron.
14. Again in the Town of Baron
a. Go to Inn, fight Yang and 2 Guards.
b. Unlock door in northwest wall of town, enter room.
c. Go through passage all the way to the castle.
15. Back to Baron Castle
a. Go around castle, enter the walls via southwest hole.
b. Go through east room, fight Baigan.
c. Head north into throne room, fight Cagnazzo.
d. Meet Cid, and go to Airship.
e. Fly northwest to forest area, land next to/enter castle.
16. Troia Kingdom
a. Buy non-metal equipment at Town of Troia.
b. To Troia Castle. Go north, talk to 8 Clerics.
c. In room prior to Clerics, head west into that room.
d. Meet up with Edward, get TwinHarp.
e. Leave castle.
f. Walk north to Chocobo Forest, take Black Chocobo.
g. Fly east to cave; land in forest and enter.
17. Magnetic Cave
a. Progress to crystal room.
b. Fight Dark Elf.
c. Leave cave.
d. Fly with Black Chocobo back west, then walk south to castle.
18. Troia Castle - Back with the Crystal
a. Visit 8 Clerics again, then talk to Kain.
b. Go outside and board Airship.
19. Tower of Zot
a. Head upstairs to 5F.
b. Fight Magus Sisters.
c. Continue to 6F, meet Golbez again.
d. Talk to Kain, go upstairs to Rosa.
e. Go back down 1 floor, fight Valvalis.
f. Use Rosa's Exit to leave.
20. Town of Agart
a. Talk to Kain again, get Magma.
b. Rest, then leave the castle.
c. Fly Airship to south island with mountain; land and enter town.
d. Go to well in town center, use Magma.
e. Leave town, fly Airship into mountain crater.
f. Fly around, then land at/enter castle.
21. Dwarven Castle
a. Airship is damaged
b. Enter the Castle to the South
c. Proceed to throne room, speak with King Giott.
d. Go to back room, fight Calbrina.
e. Fight Golbez, meet Rydia.
f. Go back to throne room.
g. Go into room south of throne room, and take west steps to Inn.
h. Continue downstairs into basement.
i. Talk to dwarf in front of shelf.
j. Go through secret passage to back exit from castle.
k. Head north to Tower of Babil.
22. Tower of Babil
a. Make your way up to 8F, meet Dr. Lugae.
b. Fight Lugae/Balnab, get TowerKey.
c. Go back down to 5F, enter Super Cannon room in middle area.
d. Deactivate cannon, continue out of tower.
e. Meet Cid, fly back to overworld and Baron Castle.
23. Baron Castle - Enterprise's upgrade
a. Go to main room prior to throne room, head east.
b. Meet Cid's assistants, talk to them for Airship upgrade.
c. Fly north, collect Hovercraft with hook.
d. Go back south, then southwest from Baron.
e. Land both vehicles, ride Hovercraft across shallows to cave.
24. Eblan Cave
a. Go through cave to end.
b. Meet with ninja Edge.
c. Continue onward to tower again.
25. Tower of Babil - The rescue of the Crystals
a. Break into tower through hole in wall.
b. Head down to B5F, meet King/Queen Eblan.
c. Fight them, then talk to Rubicant.
d. Heal up, and fight Rubicant.
e. Drop through crystal room to underground.
f. Go through rooms until you reach Airship.
g. Take Airship and fly southeast to castle.
26. Return to Dwarven Castle - Falcon's upgrade
a. Talk to King Giott, get Necklace.
b. Go downstairs to basement, talk to Cid; get Airship upgrade.
c. Leave the castle, fly west to cave surrounded by mountains.
d. Land there, enter cave.
27. Sealed Cave
a. Get through cave to the second save point.
b. Rest, then continue on to crystal room.
c. Get crystal, then leave.
d. Fight EvilWall.
e. Backtrack to cave entrance.
f. Meet Kain, then leave cave and head to castle.
28. Dwarven Castle - Back from a failed mission
a. Go see King Giott in throne room again.
b. Talk to Cid, get second Airship upgrade.
c. Leave castle, fly to northeast corner.
d. Press button above hole in ground to reach overworld.
e. Fly east to Mysidia; land and enter town.
29. Mysidia Village - The legend comes true Mysidia
a. Go into main building to north.
b. Head upstairs and see Elder again.
c. Exit town, board the Lunar Whale.
d. Fly to the moon (talk to crystal).
30. Lunar Path
a. Land on plateau northwest of Crystal Palace.
b. Go through Lunar Paths, enter Crystal Palace.
31. Crystal Palace
a. Go forward, meet FuSoYa.
b. Exit, and return to Lunar Whale.
c. Fly back to Earth.
d. Enter the Giant of Babil.
32. Giant of Babil
a. Progress to the save point.
b. Rest, then go into north room.
c. Fight 4 Elements.
d. Continue to next room, and fight CPU.
e. Meet Kain and Golbez.
f. Exit the giant to Lunar Whale.
g. Fly back to Moon, and go to Crystal Palace.
33. Moon's Core - The last battle
a. Go into backmost room, step on center tile to go underground.
b. Progress down through the caves.
c. Save at bottom level, then go into crystallized areas.
d. Continue to final area.
e. Meet Zemus.
f. Get Crystal from Golbez.
g. Use the Crystal in battle, fight Zeromus.
h. Game cleared, congratulations!
